I literally don´t think there is anything better than sitting on my bike at a stop light and inviting people to know about the restored gospel. Definitely FUR SURE one of my favorite things I have done in the mission. I feel so white and so nerdy but it’s all good in the hood ya know. As long as I’m helping people to know that God loves them, right?
Its finally warming up herein Argentinnnnna and am so happy. But mosquitos are real and my entire hand and legs have been the size of a balloon thanks to these deadly thangs. But the work is moving forward. Slowly but surely. We are going to make some big change here in Oran. I hit 10 months in the mission this week and I am in shock. And it just makes me so grateful that I still have 8 months. I really honestly can´t imagine real life. It freaks me out jaajaja.
This week was so sweet la verdad. This week we were visiting a family and their recently baptized daughter decided to go and visit people with us. Her mom has been a member for ever but got offended when she was pregnant with her first daughter and decided to leave the church and after 20 years her daughter found the missionaries and decided to get baptized. And when we finished with all of our appointments we went back to her house and it was already time for us to go back to the apartment so that we could plan for the next day but I just had the strongest impression that we need to share a message with their family. I even had a scripture engraved in my mind that I knew I had to share. I didn´t even ask my companion I just pretty much told them that we were going to share a message with them realllllly fast. So we entered and her dad was there who isn´t a member and has NEVER accepted the missionaries and he decided to listen to us. And right when I saw him I knew why I felt that prompting. Then we shared a scripture about family prayer and committed them to start praying as a family every night. And then we ended in a prayer on our knees and I just felt this love that God has for us as his children stronger than ever before. I just feel so blessed that God trusts us enough to help this sweet little family find their way back on his straight and narrow path. And this trust that he has in each and everyone of us to help our brothers and sisters. There is not a doubt in my mind that there are always always people prepared to receive this message in our lives. Whether we are in a foreign country or in Mormonville Utah. God is always preparing our loved ones and all we have to do is open our hearts and God will fill our mouths with the words that they need to here.
Don´t be selffish, and pray for an opportunity to share this amazing message and help our heavenly father in this perfect plan that he has for us. I love the gospel with all of my heart and I love teaching people about this love that God has for each and every one of us. And teaching them that because of this love that he has for us WE HAVE A LIVING PROPHET who is leading and guiding us in these times of trouble and doubt because we have a God who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Manejamos en seguridad
Well my new area is just swellllll. I don´t remember if thats a word in english. We have bikes and helmets and I literally feel like the biggest nerd andI love it. We have to jump out of the window to wash our clothes and our toilet didn´t work the whole week…. 4 hermanas…. Comida de Argentina…. No toilet…. One week….. jajajaja (Hashtag)MEMORIES. And on my first day here I saw a woman driving her motorcyle while breast feeding…. No joke. and we share our area with Elders which is weird. And to top it off my companion got dear Sally’d if thats a thing so today has been full of tears. But I am so grateful to be here. In ANOTHER area. Time is flying by so fast. I love my comp. I feel like she isn´t real because shes so great. The people here are so humble and so sweet. And I am pumped to help them come unto Christ and know of this amazing message.
I´ve been recognising more then ever that we truly can do nothing with out our savior Jesus Christ. So many people in the world just cruz through life and all of the hardship on their own and it truly breaks my heart. Que suerte que tenemos that our Heavenly Father sent his son to the earth so that we don´t have to take on all of these hardships and troubles on our own. It´s like we are on and island and we have to get to the other island beforethe storm. And we have two options, we can take a boat and sail smoothy across to the other island with a couple bumps or we can use all of our energy to swim to the other side with the sure chance that we won´t make it through the storm on our own. We have this beautiful gift that our Heavenly Father has given us of the Expacion of his son Jesus Christ that can literally carry us back to the presence of our Heavenly Father. That can cure all of our wounds. That can help us overcome ANY hardship, any strugle, any insecurity and all we have to do us swallow our pride and use the this gift that we have and fall into his arms that have always been extended towards us. I don´t have a lot of time but I just want you to know that I know my Savior lives I know that My Father in Heaven sent his son so that I could return to his loving arms. All we have to do is humble ourselves and let the expacion take effect in our lives. And that is how we find true happiness. True and everlasting happiness. We don´t have to do it on our own. We choose to swim or we choose to sail. (Mosiah 15,16)
The mission is the best choice I have ever made and if you´re thinking about going… GO.
My fav verses of the week D and C 58:27-33 read it and ponderize it and love it.

Pizarrrrrrra
Well a 12 and a half hour bus ride and I am here en Pizarra(Oran), Argentina. I miss Hermana Liza with all of my heart. And my home away from home Santiago del Estero but I know that God has a plan and everything will be alright. This area is really old time status. But I love it already. My companion is from Bolivia and I am her step mother in the mission. I feel a little bit weird to be honest because I feel like I left my life 12 hours away Santiago but TODO BIEN.
This past week with Hermana Liza we worked so dang hard and we saw so many miracles. And I just love that area with all of my heart. BUT there is new things in store and immmm alright with it.
Mosiah 14:“3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.”
and I love that in this chapter it repeatedly says that after all that our savior suffered he opened not his mouth. QUE PALABRAS. AFTER all that he suffered. I am so grateful for my brother and redeemer Jesus Christ and his example to me. That he came here, and suffered more than we could ever imagine. MORE THAN WE CAN EVEN IMAGINE and did it so peacefully and humbly that he opened not his mouth. He let his will be consumed in the will of his Father so that we could return to live with him. And that through his stripes we can be healed. We can overcome temptations, grief, sorrow, saddess, we can overcome all through him, all we have to do is put our faith in Him. What a blessing it is to know our Savior Jesus Christ and to know of the Atonement. I love this gospel more than I can put into words and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be here serving the Lord and more and more everyday learning of the truthfulness of this message and putting it into practice in my life and helping others to do the same. I just want everyone to realize this amazing gift of the atonement that we have. And to use it because there is nothing better that we could do in this life. I really want to have this courage that our Savior has and to just go forward with faith in his plan despite of whatever this passes by because we know why we are here. We decided to come here and we knew we would have these trials and when we work according to the will of our father, all is possible.
I love

FELIZ 4 DE JULIO
We woke up, worked out, studied, cleaned, bought food and made tacos!!!! HAPPY 4 OF JULY. And we have fireworks that other sisters left in our apartment but we can´t use them (tears)
Not gonna lie I am a little trunky today thinking of the freedom run and fireworks and american food. But I am so grateful that I get to help these argentinos to be freeeed from satanas. That’s about the most creativity I have for today. Jajaja
This week was really good! I love my companion with all my heart. And I feel like things are just too good to be true. I love the mission and sharing this message more than anything and time is flying by SO fast. I feel like I was in the MTC yesterday and now I am more than half way done. So loco la verdad. I don´t have a lot of time but I just wanted to share this quote witttt ya
“No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God . . . and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.” Orson F. Whitney
I am so grateful for my trials and tribulations so that I can more so come to know my Savior and become like him and so that through the use of the atonement I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful for this gospel and the opportunity I have to share it. It breaks my heart to see all these people that are so blinded by Satan and so wrapped up in the ¨good things¨ that they don´t have room for the important. I could say a million bazillion things right now but I have no time but just know that the livin is good and that I know my savior lives and loves us and I am so grateful for this life that we have, through him, to learn and grow. Remember who you are and don´t do drugs and to tell your dad that you love him and also I can´t send any pictures because this computers is a lil junky.

Hola mis seres queridos
Hola mis seres queridos. This week was just dandy and really really cold. And went by so fast. I feel like P-day was yesterday. We have been singing Christmas songs all week because it seems like Christmas is just right around the corner with this weather. Jajaja. I love my companion to death and I feel like we might be getting divorced this transfer jaja and my heart is already breaking.
This week my testimony of the Sacrament sky rocketed. How amazing is it that we have the opportunity to literally start new ever single week? To be baptized again without being baptized EVERY WEEK. It really is something so amazing and uncomprehendable. I remember before the mission thinking nothing of it and now it’s one of the biggest things I look forward to every week. How lucky are we to have a Father in Heaven that gives us the chance to completely start new every single week?
Another thing that is on my mind is that we really have power. And not power of the world but power of God. Through the restored gospel we literally, through our covenants with God, each and every one of us are blessed with this sacred power of God. How amazing is it that we are so blessed to know of the restored gospel? Every day we teach people that have never heard a thing about the restored gospel and powerful message that we have. And it just makes me think, wow how privileged am I to be put into a family that has a knowledge of this amazing message. That isn´t stuck in spiritual darkness. But how sad is it that there are people who know of this gospel and this power that we have and don´t use it. I was reading a talk by Russell M. Nelson that really made me think about how sacred this power is and how amazing it is that we have this power, I just want the whole world to read it. “The Price of Priesthood Power”
“Are you willing to follow President Thomas S. Monson’s example of serving others? For decades he has taken the long way home, following promptings of the Spirit to arrive on someone’s doorstep and then hear words such as, “How did you know it was the anniversary of our daughter’s death?” or “How did you know it was my birthday?” …..
Now, if all of this sounds excessive, please consider how different our relationships with our wife, children, and associates at work would be if we were as concerned about gaining priesthood power as we are in progressing at work or increasing the balance in our bank account. If we will humbly present ourselves before the Lord and ask Him to teach us, He will show us how to increase our access to His power.
My dear brethren, we have been given a sacred trust—the authority of God to bless others. May each one of us rise up as the man God foreordained us to be—ready to bear the priesthood of God bravely, eager to pay whatever price is required to increase his power in the priesthood. With that power, we can help prepare the world for the Second Coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.”
I know this talk is directed for men but I know that each one of us holds this sacred power and trust that God has in us. And we cannot even comprehend the amazing things that we can do with this power and authority as members of the church. The life’s we can change. The instruments we can be in the hands of our beloved Heavenly Father. But when we aren´t worthy of this gift that we have or we don´t use it we are wasting precious time and precious moments to grow and prepare not only ourselves but our brothers and sisters. I invite you to really think about this sacred power that we hold and the knowledge that we have of this message and the opportunity we have to start again every week. And to be better than you were yesterday and tomorrow be better than you were today through the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. I love this gospel with all my heart.

HALF WAY
HAPPPPY FATTHERS DAY JONATHAN ALAN JARVIS. (corazon) (corazon)
Joke of the week from Hno. Vega: How can you catch the attention of a Bunny? Its simple. Lay in the grass and make the noise of a carrot. Jajajajjaja
This week was soo good! Just like all the rest. I am half way through my mission. WHATTTT. And I am really trying to change as a person and reach my goals so that I can truly become an instrument in the hands of my Heavenly Father. And its truly amazing when we can give ourselves to him and let him work his magic. I am having a really hard time typing in English so just bear with me… One of the rules in the mission is that we can´t visit men alone without another woman and this week we search high and low for a member to come with us to visit Hno Luna because he lives alone and we searched for 2 hours and no one could come with us. So we went to our appointment (late) and he was waiting outside for us with the biggest smile on his face with all his broken chairs set up for us. He even got a haircut and bought new shoes. And we talked with him for a bit outside of his gate because we couldn’t enter and he literally is the sweetest man in the world. He told me that when I go home and want to get married that I need to tell my husband that “he will be watching” jajaja and he started crying telling us how very special we are to him and then we had to leave and it was probably the hardest thing ever to leave him there ALONE. Awh I just love that man and I wish everyone could get to know him.
But other than that we had a bunch of people at church on Sunday so I am just the happiest little camper. Its literally the most amazing thing to watch people change their lives. We are visiting one family that was in active for 20 years and they had two daughters and the first time we visited them the daughters didn´t even know that their parents are members but the two daughters are preparing for baptism and the parents are praying again and coming back to church and I am SO HAPPY. But the best thing is that they have a German exchanged student named Hannah. And she is literally the sweetest thing. She is ending her time here right when we start teaching her! And a member in our ward had a Book of Mormon in German, which is the weirdest thing because no one here speaks German but she is reading and she told us that all of her friends that are here from Germany had tons of fun but definitely didn´t find what she has found in Argentina. (AWWWHWHHH) And we got her direction and we are going to send the missionaries to her house in Germany and I am just so happy. Its crazy first because we found this family (Family of Gold) right before she is leaving for Germany and second that a member randomly had a Book of Mormon in German. THE LORD WORKS IN MISTERIOUS WAYS.
But I really am just on cloud 9 here. Its so amazing when we can just open our eyes and see all of these amazing miracles. The mission is the best thing that has ever happened to me la verdad. And I am just so grateful to my Father in Heaven for giving me this experience. But yep that’s all for now. Tune in next week jajajaj 2 Nephi 9:30 :)))))

Wife Skills on high
Well I am 100 percent convinced that if you can deap clean a missionary apartment that hasn´t been cleaned in years, you can truly do anything. Plus I am like a 20 out of 10 on my future wife skills. We litterally used half of our P-day to clean and I feel like I just ran a marathon and need a bazillion trophies or lots of cash, jajajja but really…
This semana was way good. In a letter before I talked about my love for Vanina. She is this precious little member here that was working for her entire family (of 14) and not going to school and is only 16 and her dad commited suicide 11 years ago. And this past week her mom died of cancer. I literally could not believe it when I heard the news. Its so crazy all that these people go through. And yet she is still the happiest little lady in all of Argentina. Her testimony is one of the strongest I have ever heard. And I just want her to come live with me in the United States and have a normal life more than anything. But for now imma get her prepared for a mission.
Also we have been visiting mi querido Hno Luna. He is 70 years old and one day he was sitting in his house and some home boys came in and beat him and robbed everything he has. And now he has to walk with crutches and can barely move. He was baptized like 20 years ago but has been inactive. He is so so so lonely and has nothing to do but sit in house, where he lives alone and stare out the window. And everytime we come and visit him he is waiting outside for us with the biggest smile on his face. But this week we went and visited him and he started crying and crying and told us that his neighbors are signing papers for him to get put in an old folks home. HOW SAD. and when we were leaving I asked him if he has some kind of way that we can call him and he told me know but "Jarvis, I am going to buy a cellphone so I can talk to you guys!" and he also told us in our second visit that this is the second time this week that he has felt joy. Because it was our second visit ;) He is so sweet and I just love him with all of my heart.
Well that is really the highlight of my week. I am learning so much and I can´t even count the blessing and miracles I get to see everyday through the hand of God in my life and in the lifes of my loved ones. I am just so grateful for all that I have and all the experiences I am having here. I really can not imagine my life with out the mission. I really was so worried about what would happen at home or what I would miss out on in the mission but I have truly learned that there is nothing better I could be doing and I just am SO HAPPY. How great is it to know that God is exists and he has a perfect plan for us. And that we can be forgiven of everysingle one of our sins and that we can be with our families forevaaa. So many miracles here in Santiago and the time is flying by. My favorite scrip of today is
Alma 37:37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart befull of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shallbe lifted up at the last day.
there is not a doubt in my mind that through the power of prayer anything is possible. I love this gospel. I love argentinos and I love my companion and I love you.
Over and out
